Brewing Love Full Review: A Romantic Tale That Will Warm Your Heart

What’s your ideal type of love? Love that happens in the most unexpected way or a love that happens with a spark? To me, love is love no matter how it starts. Today I am going to tell you about a love story that happened in the most heartwarming way possible where romance brews just like a fine drink, slow yet the sweetest. I am talking about Brewing Love K-drama. Today I am writing an article on Brewing Love full review where I will tell you about one of the sweetest love stories in Kdrama history. 

In the year 2024, Kim Sejeong and Lee Jong Won brought to us a love story that starts with past wounds and ends with a new beginning. And personally, I loved it. 

Plot Summary of Brewing Love:

Chae Young Joo is a salesperson of a liquor company, she is also a former member of the special forces in the military. She is stronger than the men around her and most cheerful among all the people around her. She is good at almost everything, especially at hiding her own emotions. But even without saying, someone unexpectedly found out her emotions from the depth of her heart, and that man is Yoon Min Joo. Yoon Min Joo has an amazing talent for sensing other emotions. He is a sensitive kind of man but he has a pure heart. Yoon Min Joo is a brewer who makes the tastiest beer and lives in a rural place to focus more on his emotions. Now Young Joo gets a task to make a new beer with Min Joo which is definitely not an easy task but she takes it as a mission and completes it. During this time he makes new friends and finds her true love that she ultimately becomes herself without hiding anything from anyone. Young Joo and Min Joo together find out their true happiness that completely changed their life and obviously in a good way.

We have another cute couple Bang A-Reum and Oh Chan Hwi. Both are so different from each other but they love each other so purely. Bang A Reum is the manager of the planning team of the same company as Young Joo and Chan Hwi is the friend of Young Joo. One is serious natured and the other one is free-spirited.

Character Breakdown & Performance Review

In this section of Brewing Love full review, let’s get introduced to the main characters of this drama who made this drama an effortlessly cute one.

Chae Young Joo (played by Kim Sejeong)

Chae Young Joo is a hard-working woman who lives with her grandmother. As she is the only earning member of her house so she has to be ambitious and she is so good at her work that in a very short time, she earned the title of sales king. She is passionate, kind-hearted, hardworking and so on but she hides her emotions from everyone. She has a past wound that made her this much reserved from others. 

Performance Review: Kim Sejeong has her own charm that makes her every character so adorable and loveable, Chase Young Joo is one of those characters that compels the viewers to love her. In this drama, she effortlessly balanced the vulnerable and the cheerful side of Young Joo, which is obviously commendable. 

Yoon Min Joo (Played by Lee Jong Won)

Yoon Min Joo is a handsome young man but lives alone in a rural place. He lives alone because of his sensitive nature, he is affected by other people’s emotions. He avoids people also because of his past wounds. He is cold and reserved on the outside and inside he deeply cares about others. 

Performance Review: Hats off to Lee Jong Won because if you watch this drama you will tell how beautifully Jong Won portrays the character of Yoon Min Joo. His facial expressions were enough to let you know the inner vulnerabilities and dilemmas. And his chemistry with Kim Sejeong is literally the chef’s kiss. 

Supporting Cast & Their Contributions

The main leads did a superb job but you can’t ignore the contribution of the supporting characters. I really enjoy this kind of drama that refreshes one’s both mind and soul, which usually is set in a rural place and has some amazing and sweet characters in it. And guess what? Brewing Love is exactly the same, and I am super excited to write about it. Anyways, as we are talking about the supporting characters and their contribution, some of them are: 

Bang A-reum by Shin Do Hyun 

Bang A-Reum is the manager of the planning team, who was at first a cold and calculative-minded person, but when you get to know Bang A-reum more you can see all she craved is for a family and love. 

Beautiful actress Shin Do Hyun played the role of Bang A-reum with so much grace and charm. Though at first this character appeared slightly negative but later on she became one of the loveable characters of Brewing Love. 

Oh Chan Hwi by Baek Sung Chul:

Oh Chan Hwi is one of the cutest and most playful characters of Brewing Love. He is a former soldier who served for his country but an incident changed everything in his life. He ran away from everything, his family, his job, and even himself. But he is full of positivity.

Baek Sung Chul played the cheerful yet gloomy character of Oh Chan Hwi. This handsome actor played this role very well and balanced the emotions of Cha Hwi and became a lover boy of a calculative yet pretty woman. He is a reliable friend and a caring partner. 

Neighborhood of Min Joo:

The neighborhood of Min Joo is nothing but a blessing for Min Joo as well as Young Joo. They are absolute emotional support for them. The villagers are also kind of a matchmaker of this Min Joo-Young Joo couple. They also serve comic relief in this drama. They are more like a family than just some neighbors. They will make you happy in so many ways with their kindness and innocence when you watch this drama from the start to the end. 

Exploring Themes in Brewing Love

In this part of Brewing Love Full review together we will explore the themes of this sweet drama Brewing Love. The themes themes this drama includes are kind of message to the general viewers, and those messages are: 

• Love, Healing, and Second Chances: In this drama, we can see how two wounded hearts get healed in the company of each other. Young Joo and Min Joo reserved each other because both of them carry a heavy baggage from their past but when they came across they gave each other a second chance to be happy and to find their own self. Together they love, laugh, heal and become happy. Min Joo learns to love and Young learns to rely on. 

• Friendship and Support Systems: In this drama, we see two kinds of relationships apart from love. There is true friendship and a relationship that is more than family without having any blood relation. Young Joo has some friends who love her unconditionally and are ready to take any risk just for her. On the other hand, the villagers who work in Min Joo’s brewery are the support system of Min Joo. When Min Joo came to the village leaving his own family, those villagers embraced him like a family. Both the bond between Young Joo and her friends and Min Joo and the villagers add warmth to the story. 

• Pursuing Dreams and Overcoming Struggles: Young Joo is an ambitious girl but her journey to success is not so smooth. She lost her mother at a very young age and her father also left her and her grandmother for financial reasons. Young Joo alone took care of her grandmother and she dropped out from school and joined the military special task force. She worked so hard to achieve her dream that she forgot to express her inner feelings. On the other hand, Min Joo belongs to a family of soldiers but he chose to brew beer which his father never approved. He lost his mother and he too met an accident that made him sensitive and reserved, as he lost all his confidence. But both of them overcame all obstacles and achieved their dreams and became successful in their own way. 

Cinematography & Production Quality in Brewing Love

This drama is something like a warm hug that you need when you get tired of everything around you, and the visual storytelling of this drama plays one of the most significant roles in creating that warmth. Now in this part of Brewing Love full review let’s talk about the cinematography and the production quality of the drama Brewing Love.

• Warm and Soft Color Palette: This drama is mostly set in a ruler place which connects the audience more with nature, and nature is one of the best healers. To ensure the purity of nature the production team used a soft and pastel tone which also gives a cozy vibe. The brewery is dominated by the shades of amber, cream, and light greens that soothe our eyes and give comfort to our souls. 

• Scenic Outdoor Shots & Natural Beauty:The brewery, the garden, the forest everything screams purity and beauty. Even if you see that only you can feel a calmness in you. You can feel the touch of nature in every bit of the outdoor shots.

• Emotional Close-Ups & Symbolic Shots: In this drama, the most important part was how they put the emotions of love, sorrow and many more. In the emotional close-up shots, you can see the hopeful eyes of Young Joo and the bittersweet smile of Min Joo which symbolize how empty they are and how much they need each other’s support.
